STUDIO | ELLE EMME CO. is the custom residential practice of Lisa Marie Milat based in Shelter Island, New York providing small projects with full services including architecture, interiors and decoration. From the modern to the traditional, all of the Studio's projects share an emphasis on the selection of materials.

Problem solver as well as storyteller, the Studio creates environments that accommodate everyday domestic life and reflect the personality of the individuals who live there through a rigorous design process that searches to find each client’s personal definitions of function and aesthetics. Lisa Marie's own personal values of quality and service deliver custom residences that are well executed.
CREDENTIALS
Lisa Marie established STUDIO | ELLE EMME CO. New York in 2019 after a high-profile client asked her to complete the decoration of the home she designed for him in Montauk, New York. Her prior experience as an Architect with AD100 firms in both San Francisco and Los Angeles as well as Interiors Director for a modern architectural firm in Bridgehampton, New York, serves as 20 years experience designing and managing complex residences for sophisticated clients.
Lisa Marie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and Landscape Architecture from the University of California at Berkeley and subsequent Certificate of Interior Design from UCLA. She returned to her native New York in 2015 to be near the family and city she loves and currently resides year round on Shelter Island.
